Specialist Letter Package

Specialist Letter Release 1 

The Specialist Letter Release 1 (Specialist to GP) is a targeted release for vendors involved in the eHealth Lead Site Implementation Projects. This release includes feedback received from consultation with external stakeholders conducted earlier this year and lessons learnt from implementation projects. Technical messaging specifications associated with this release are anticipated to be endorsed by Standards Australia in early 2012.

 Development of Release 2 of the Specialist Letter package is being incorporated with eReferrals; this package will be called eReferral & Specialist Letter Release 2.

 This work is scheduled for completion during the second quarter of 2012. The development process includes comprehensive consultation with national stakeholders. On completion, the package will be made publicly available on the NEHTA web site, including lessons learnt from implementation projects, and notification messages to support more complete business process flows.
