|Name:||Reason for Encounter Data Specification v2.0|
The Reason for Encounter data group has been developed by NEHTA to standardise the information and data structures used to represent Reason for Encounter related information in a variety of clinical settings and clinical communications. The collection standardises various clinical concepts to form structured clinical documents that can be implemented by system designers to a level 4 (semantic) interoperability in the Australian healthcare setting. They are based upon relevant NEHTA technical foundations and were produced following extensive consultation.
The clinical terms comprising this release have not been subject to NEHTA's Clinical Safety Assessment Program, and as such, are not for implementation in live clinical systems at this stage, but are made available for comment.
